The public ledger

Numbers we publish so you can hold us to them.

Everything below comes straight from the database — no editing, no rounding up. Donations fund hosting, moderation and community outreach. They never buy coins, and coins never convert to cash.

What coins are — and are not

Coins are recognition: they rank leaderboards, unlock badges and say thank you in public. They are not wages, have no cash value, and cannot be bought. Any future redemption (airtime, merch) will be announced here first, with its budget.

How contributors get paid real money

Through harvests — capped pots funded by grants and sponsors that pay a fixed stipend per accepted contribution. The budget is public before a pot opens, its liability can never exceed what’s in the bank, and every payout is recorded above with its transfer reference. Coins and stipends never mix.

Where donations go

Hosting and storage, moderation stipends for language reviewers, and taking the project to communities offline. The dataset every donation helps build stays free and open — money can never buy exclusivity over it.
